Room

Over break, I made many trips to Target. I love Target, especially their dollar section. I ended up taking a shirt out of my cart to get some stuff from the dollar section instead with my Christmas money. (If that doesn't tell you how frugal I am, I don't know what will.) Anyway, I wasn't entirely happy with my room organization last semester, particularly my laundry and shoe situations. I originally had two laundry baskets in my closet, but they didn't fit in the space and my clothes and shoes didn't fit in them and it resulted in a disorganized look. My dishes were also always a mess, so I wanted to redo that system as well. Check out all the great stuff I got for my room, a lot of is from the dollar section!

A cute little basket to declutter my "bedside table" that is actually a shelf. It stores some medicine, chapstick, lotion and currently some Chloroseptic spray  because I am sick.
$2.50

I can't part with magazines right away, so this is a great way for me to store them!
$1.00

I constantly have books, magazines and newspapers sitting out on my desk that I'm planning on coming back to, so this is a great way for me to "put them away" without really putting them away.
$2.50

This holds all my dishes, including cups, plates, bowls, utensils. It also holds tupperware, dish soap and sponges!
$8.00

This hamper is a great way to hide my dirty laundry and it will be a hundred times easier to haul to the laundry room.
$2.50

I store my sweatshirts in these. They are surprising big! I hate anything looked cluttered, so it's a nice way for them to not be seen.
$2.50 each
(Sidenote: I got that flower tub at Target over the summer for $8.00. It houses all my gloves, scarves, hats, etc.)
This flexible tub is the best solution I've found for my shoes so far. While this picture does not do a great job showing it, all my shoes actually do fit in here nicely when I make an effort to put them away and not just toss them in a the end of the day.
$8.00
This doesn't do anything for the organization of my room, but it does do something for my mental health. It really brightens up the space and makes me happy.  I found these vases in the dollar section (where else?) for $2.50 and I thought they'd look nice in our kitchen next year, but I ended up loving them too much to let them sit. Those are fake flowers (.94 cents at Wal-Mart!) that I cut apart. The vases say "Live, Laugh, Love" and are the perfect size for a shelf!
Peace, Love, Target,
Caroline

  1. I love the flowers! And I also use those cloth drawers for my sweaters, scarfs, workout gear, etc. They are way bigger than they look!
